Little white Totoro races across this mug - probably one of the most popular pieces of mine from 2022.
It's difficult to get hand painted art to show up on stoneware like red pete — in order for little Totoro's body and eyes to appear so crisply, more than 5 layers of slip had to be applied!
Thrown with red pete stoneware, glazed in waxy white.
